Adem helped found post-rock group Fridge with Kieran Hebden before going on to embark on a lengthy, whimsical solo career.
Seemingly happy to sit in the background of late, Adem has just confirmed plans for a new album.
'seconds are acorns' will be released on October 16th, with Adem commenting: "It's the biggest, most confident sounding record I've made yet, and I've brought all the skills I've learned over the years to bear on it. It's wide and encompassing, but retains that special intimate and personal quality that I try to bring to all my solo releases. I want people to connect with it. There is so much disconnection everywhere, in all our lives. I like that sense of community; the fact that people come together at my gigs and share a personal experience."
New cut 'Snow In April' receiving its first play on Lauren Laverne's 6Music show a few moments ago. Wonderfully chilling acoustic fare, the pastoral imagery is matched to a sparse arrangement which cuts right to the bone.
