THE THE have detailed plans for their first live shows in 16 years.

The project - led by Matt Johnson - have been slumbering for some time, but will release new box set 'Radio Cineola: Trilogy' on October 20th.

The release of the box set will be accompanied by a Classic Album Sundays event, talking place on October 18th at the Elgar Rooms in the Royal Albert Hall, London.

Matt Johnson will appear in a Q&A, discussing his soundtrack work on the scores for Moonbug, Tony, Hyena and The Inertia Variations.

But that's not all - THE THE have also confirmed a pair of live shows for 2018, their first live endeavours for some 16 years.

The project will appear at Denmark's Heartland Festival on June 1st, before THE THE play London's Royal Albert Hall on June 5th.

Tickets for the London show go on sale this Friday (September 15th).
