The 1975’s Reading Festival Set Proves They’re In A League Of Their Own

The ambition just keeps getting bigger...

The 1975 are having a bit of a moment.

Two albums in twelve months, and exceptional arena tour, some of their boldest, most headline-grabbing videos to date – and they're not done yet.

Fresh from releasing a song with climate change activist Greta Thunberg the band unleashed their monster rock piledriver 'People'.

Hitting Reading and Leeds festival for headline performances, The 1975 refused to compromise, with their breathless ambition taking them ever higher.

It was a bold, politicised set, but it also supplied more than a few personal moments from the international stars.

Clash photographer Lauren McDermott leaped into the pit.
