Kim Shattuck to fill in on bass duties...

Pixies have revealed that Kim Shattuck is set to replace Kim Deal on their upcoming world tour.

It's been a dramatic month for Pixies. The reformed alt rock godheads lost bass player Kim Deal, who exited the group without leaving a statement. Last week, the band unveiled new track 'Bagboy' - their first blast of fresh material in almost a decade.

Now Pixies have unveiled a full world tour, and a replacement for Kim Deal. Bass duties on the upcoming dates will be fulfilled by Kim Shattuck, who previously played in famed 90s punk group The Muffs.

Dates include a sprinkling of UK and Irish shows, including a one of Dublin date on November 18th. Hitting Manchester, the band will play Glasgow before the European shows end in London at the Hammersmith Apollo on November 24th.

Tickets for Manchester and London go on sale at 9am tomorrow (July 1st) - other dates are on sale now.

Here's the video for 'Bagboy'.
