Janelle Monae is set to play Glastonbury festival this summer, organisers have revealed.
The American star is an incredible live performer, with her show at London's Roundhouse last year ranking among the best 2018 had to offer.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis was evidently transfixed, and has invited the singer to return to Worthy Farm this summer.
Speaking to Lauren Laverne on the 6Music host's inaugural breakfast show, Emily Eavis confirmed the news.
“We have got Janelle Monae headlining the West Holts stage,” she said. “When she last played in 2015 was incredible, that show really was brilliant. You could have watched it with the sound off, and it really would have been incredible. It will be quite a moment.”

The singer joins a line up already dotted with incredible names, with Stormzy, Kylie Minogue, and more confirming their involvement.
Glastonbury festival runs between June 26th - 30th.
