His new EP 'Heavy Smoke' is out now...

Middle East producer Rejoicer is a key component of the Tel Aviv beats scene, an underground network of beat makers, MCs, promoters, and more.

Gaining international recognition with his unholy brew of left field hip-hop, electronics, jazz, and more, Rejoicer has developed a partnership with key American stable Stones Throw.

New EP 'Heavy Smoke' follows a string of European club shows earlier in the year, including a stellar date at Camden Assembly in January.

Tweaking and previewing new material, Rejoicer's sets explored soundsystem communication, continuing driving toward unknown destinations.

Clash hooked up with Rejoicer to discuss a few left field jams...

Solomon Ilori - 'Ise Oluwa'

'Highlife' album on Blue Note - I bought this vinyl years ago and sampled every possible piece from it. Real beautiful melodies and grooves.

Madlib - 'Sun Rays'

One of the best Madlib beats for me. its not the usual 2/4 beat yet something more jazzy and light. Real genius in work.

Midnite - 'Rasta Man Still Stand'

Maximum groove, really inspiring reggae band. All very dry (no effects) and just chill playing. Saw them live in San Francisco few years back and got hooked on it since.

Connan Mockasin - 'Forever Dolphin Love'

Love everything about this track and its video clip. The way the music and the lyrics sits together, perfect temperatures and textures.

Yes - 'Soon'

Heard this back in High School over and over again on the headphones. Even picked up the guitar to learn the chords and melody... can still play it, I guess...
