Sweden's LÉON is unstoppable right now.
A flurry of potent pop statements have caused international ripples, with everyone from Radio 1 to James Corden lining up to sing her praises.
It's the voice of LÉON, though, which comes through loudest of all, with her self-titled debut album representing one of 2019's most unstoppable pop treats.
Infectious, laden with character, her highly personal take on pop's creative wing affords LÉON the space to forge her own identity.
Fresh from storming yet another London headline show LÉON sat down with Clash to discuss her cultural obsessions...

I wish I read more than I do at the moment. I’m a person that has a real hard time focusing.. haha. But right now I’m reading a book that I’m really into called A Little Life. It’s so beautiful and so sad. It’s rare that a book makes me tear up but this one does something to me.
I have so many favourites... I love crime shows like mind hunter, true detective, the staircase and the keepers. And I just saw the one with Ted Bundy that I was really into.
But some of my favourite shows that I’ve seen over and over again is shows like lovesick and freaks and geeks. And new girl! They crack me up.
I know I’m a little behind but I just saw Room with Brie Larsen. my friend was shocked that I had not seen it yet haha. Turned out to probably be one of the best movies I’ve ever seen my body was so tense from the beginning to the end. My heart was beating so fast the entire time!
And The Favourite felt like a big smack in the face when I saw it. Insanely good. And Call Me By Your Name. Everything about that film is just... I love it. Okay I’m going to stop now haha!
I’ve basically only listened to James Blake’s new album this year. It’s been a long time since I listened to an album this many times back to back. The lyrics and everything about the record is beautiful. Me and my friends drove to Pomona in L.A. to see him play a few weeks ago and I snuck up on the balcony and just sat there with tears in my eyes the entire time.
'Can’t Believe The Way We Flow' and 'I’ll Come Too' are two of my favourites off the album. And 'Are You In Love'. Every fucking song is so good.
