Okuh Studios at Selfridges

Manga Mode...

With the recent release of the live-action version of Ghost in the Shell, we’ve been reminiscing about the original Anime movies influence on street style.

Hitting the big screen back in ‘95, the whole cyber goth genre seemed to reach a pinnacle around it, with Camden Market dwelling devotees of the look, sporting a range of futuristic, android inspired getup.

Perfect for dabbling in this nostalgia, in a way that’s subtle enough for 2017, Melbourne based streetwear label Okuh have just dropped a new 90s Japan inspired collection at Selfridges.

Featuring punchy graphics that are reminiscent of glitchy 32-bit video game graphics, and the pages of bible-thick Manga, a selection of styles also feature ‘heat wave’ thermo changing prints.
