Extra limited edition knits.

There are exclusive collections and then there are limited to 40 pieces collections; John Smedley x Comme des Garcons is the latter.

Hooking up for a second time, the British knitwear label sees its classic Bobby jumper – plain, V-neck, merino wool, associated with 007 circa ‘Skyfall’, plain – reimagined by Junya Watanabe, the one-time protégée of Comme founder Rei Kawakubo.

Available in charcoal and navy, the Bobby 2.0 is adorned with the Japanese designer’s favoured tartan – the patchwork of which has proved a massive hit for Watanabe denim; here the fabric is appliqued in the shape of a Union Jack, referencing the designer’s own line tees.

The traditional meets innovative idea (the British house playing the former, the Japanese designer the latter), is a complimentary one that will no doubt prove as successful as the first time around.
