Jodie Comer’s Many Faces Of Loewe
Fresh from an Emmy win for her portrayal of Russian assassin Villanelle in the BBC’s Killing Eve, British actress Jodie Comer has just bagged the biggest accolade of them all, the Loewe spring-summer 2020 campaign.
Shot by Steven Meisel, the new womenswear campaign captures Comer in a moment of deep introspection, and a backstage vanity situation. Giving us all a lesson in proper pronunciation, Comer goes through a multitude of emotions in the short clip. "Jodie is exceptionally talented, and what’s so magical about her is that she is 100 per cent committed to an idea”, says creative director Jonathan Anderson.
Released as a triptych, Comer’s portrait premieres alongside a trio of the Lazo Mini bags and a portrait of a perfectly manicured hand squeezing fluorescent slime through long fingernails. Taken from the A Show of Hands series, which was previewed in Paris during June’s menswear shows, appeared alongside a handheld ice cream and a tattooed fist grasping a grassy clump of earth.
