Al Fingers' book looks at the reputation of Clarks in Jamaica with imagery from Mark Read.

For those with Christmas presents still to buy (slapped wrists for you), or anyone who fancies daydreaming of warmer climates-personally we just love a good photo book-Al Fingers' 'Clarks in Jamaica' is pretty much ideal. With photography from Mark Read, the book features interviews as well as previously unseen material of Clarks being worn in Jamaica, paying particular attention to musicians who favour the British boots. As producer Bunny 'Striker' Lee puts it, 'From ever since, Clarks is a number on shoe inna Jamaica.'

Below, an ode to Clarks from Vybz Kartel from 2010.
