Dark girl / boy pop...

It might be sunny outside but the dark is never far away.

Hologram are Maxime Sokolinski and Clara Luciani, a boy-girl pairing with a unique sense of noir. Utterly French, theres is a sweeping melancholy which is glamorous, seductive and wholly affecting.

Working at their Parisian base, the duo recently completed work on a new EP. Produced by Maxime Sokolinsk, 'Absolute Zero' contains four tracks of almost perfectly cool songwriting.

As a teaser, Clash have been handed the clip for 'I've Got Eyes'. Utterly nihilistic, it fears the repeated line "nothing ever matters" uttered in the most passionate of tones.

Reminiscent of The Velvet Underground's more pastoral moments, with Nico-esque vocals and the simplest of drum beats, this is one for skulking in the shadows, for avoiding the summer glare in favour of the dank, dark underground.

Watch it now.
