Mount Kimbie – You Took Your Time

Featuring King Krule...

Electronic music, doesn't have to be linear, not really. In tune with the tempos of the body, electronic music can speed up or slow down, repeat the same path before trying something new.

A low slung, bass ridden highlight from Mount Kimbie's recent studio album, 'You Took Your Time' isn't straight forward, isn't some 'A connects to B, connects to C' story.

Instead, King Krule's lyrics are more like epigrams, defiantly modern, urban and urbane puzzles which shock and amuse, terrify and confuse. Swedish director Marcus Söderlund steps in on visuals, which are shot in his trademark black and white.

Based in a nowhere-land suburb (actually shot in Tilbury, Essex) the director asks: "Where should we escape when we have no place to go?" via Nowness
