Los Campesinos! 2010 UK Tour

Indie poppers confirm tour plans

Swine flu laden twee poppers Los Campesinos! are due to kick start 2010 with a mammoth new UK tour.

Los Campesinos! are difficult to pin down. The hyperactive kids leap around onstage like toddlers on Sunny D, pounding their way through a series of life affirming indie pop anthems before collapsing in a heap.

Continually writing and recording, the band are due to release their second album proper next year. Titled ‘Romance Is Boring’ early listens have prompted fans to label it their finest work to date.

Recorded in the United States with producer John Goodmanson, Los Campesinos! are currently touring across the UK. Unfurling a number of new songs, the band are attracting ever growing numbers of fans to their shows.

However these new supporters had better watch out. Writing on their Twitter account the band revealed that they had contracted swine flu, but were preparing to battle through and complete the dates.

Los Campesinos! are set to open 2010 with another batch of tour dates, which include some of their biggest shows to date. ‘Romance Is Boring’ is due to be released on February 1st, and to coincide the Welsh wonders are set to hit the road.

Opening with a show in Wrexham on February 11th, the band are set to play their largest London show to date when they take to the stage at Camden’s Koko venue on February 25th.
