Kesha Details New Album ‘GAG ORDER’

It's out on May 19th...

Kesha will release her new album ‘GAG ORDER’.

The pop icon endured a traumatic court experience with Dr Luke, one that pushed personal trauma into an explicitly pubic space. Re-emerging with triumphant, cathartic album ‘Rainbow’ in 2017, before continuing her evolution on potent 2020 LP ‘High Road’.

Teasing her next step on socials, new album ‘GAG ORDER’ was constructed alongside revered producer Rick Rubin. Kesha has dubbed the incoming project her “post-pop” record, and as Executive Producer she’s played an integral role in its sonic tapestry.

Teasing music over on Instagram, she also popped up on a recent 60 Minutes story on Rick Rubin.

“Without the darkness there is no light. I finally let my darkness have the light.  I cannot fight the truth of this life being difficult and painful. It is for everyone,” wrote Kesha in an album manifesto that went live via Nylon. “An artist doesn’t exist to make others happy. I believe an artist gives voice, motion, colour to the emotions we all have. The good emotions, and the unmanageably fucking miserable ones.”

Out on May 19th – order it here – the album is trailed by a double-single which lands on April 28th – yep, ‘Eat The Acid’ and ‘Fine Line’ arrive on the same day.

‘GAG ORDER’ will be released on May 19th.
