Genuine spine-tingling bizarreness
Ekkehard Ehlers - Adikia

‘Adikia’ is a continuous twenty-six-minute track of genuine spine-tingling bizarreness. Suggesting processes in reverse, it’s constructed of subtle patterns and disintegrating structure. Eerie, unsettling, challenging and mercilessly avant-garde, it’s quite the most peculiar thing we’ve heard in some time. Constructed roughly of two halves, it’s hard to discern what the instruments actually are. Could easily be a soundtrack to an obscure European post modernism film. When the strings come in it feels more comfortably melodic and in places even beautiful, peppered with sounds like fluttering wings. The ‘vocals’ by Todosch are like something from an entirely different universe. Dark, damaged and abstract.
