A sparkling debut imbued with undeniable innovation...
'Lines'

It seems in 2017 that the role of an acoustic guitar wielding crooner is just as relevant as it was ten or 20 years ago. For a case in point, see this sparkling debut from Charlie Cunningham.

Heavy synths juxtapose his stringed instrument of choice on ‘An Opening’ while the unexpected introduction of brass on ‘You Sigh’ make this record a little more tangible than your average singer-songwriter output.

An undeniably innovative slant lies at the forefront of this LP, as well as a warming glow to soundtrack impending winter nights.

7/10
