There was always a lot more to The Pierces than meets the eye.
The sisterly duo were outcasts in the major label structure, with their soothing yet emotive songwriting revealing layer after layer of complexity.
Five studio albums followed, a remarkable aural journey that culminated in 2014's rightly celebrated full length 'Creation'.
Since then, the duo have taken a step back, with Catherine Pierce deciding to work on some solo material.
Opening the New Year with incredible new cut 'You Belong To Me', Cat channelled an other-worldly atmosphere into her soothing, country-inflected pop.
The visuals are every bit as creative as the song, with Cat channelling love, obsession, and the work of Persian poet Rumi.
"The inspiration for the mood was the Rumi quote, 'What you seek is seeking you' since the song is about mutual obsession. I kept having dreams and visions of a woman in white wandering through the suburbs not really knowing whether she is chasing something or being chased. The song is about wanting to possess someone because of the way they make you feel and the beautiful madness that can take over."
"I shot this video with director Antony Langdon. He's amazing when it comes to being creative and spontaneous in the moment. We went into it wanting to convey a feeling more than a story."
