Waiting For
The Drop

Reggae is a Jamaican thing, right?

Well, not always. The British reggae scene has regularly come up with the goods, from Lover's Rock slick styles to modern bashment artists, the UK has consistently punched above its weight.

The Drop are an explosive nine piece reggae group, fusing jagged indie rock with pounding JA horns. Born out of a love of prime soundsystem fare, the band formed in 2009 and have rapidly established themselves as a potent live force.

Working on their debut album, the full length is preceded by new EP 'Turning Around'. Out now, it's a riotous fusion of rock with reggae, indie songcraft with dub exploration all delivered with no small degree of attitude.

'Waiting For' is a single drawn from the EP, and it's earned high praise from David Rodigan himself: "No, this was not recorded in Kingston Jamaica, this was recorded right here in London, real real fine!"
