Rothwell knows that time tends to slip past almost unnoticed, so it's best to act now, when the opportunity is there.
The Bristol newcomer simply erupts with new ideas, with studio sessions resulting in a flood of fresh music.
So, she's decided to kick off a new project, with Rothwell set to release a new track on the final Friday of each month.
Think of it as a frisky pay-day treat, with the newcomer vowing to unveil at least a dozen new songs in 2017.
New cut 'Lucky Blue' airs first on Clash, and it's a softly seductive piece of pop that deals with the overwhelming nature of love.
Co-written and produced with Ian Watt, it's a remarkable return. Rothwell explains:
"This song is about feeling unwanted and that all-encompassing feeling you get when you just can't let go of something or someone even when you know it's wrong. The song is pretty raw and mainly lead by piano and voice but has a strong dark electronic element to it."
