Them Are Us Too musician Cash Askew has been named as a casualty of the Oakland warehouse party fire.

The fire on Friday night (December 2nd) swept through the Ghost Ship creative space, where an electronic show was taking place.

The death toll currently sits at 30, with authorities expecting this number to rise as emergency services become able to further explore the building.

One of the victims has been named as Cash Askew, a member of Bay Area dream pop group Them Are Us Too whose debut album 'Remain' was released last year on Dais Records.

In a press release, the band’s management team said: "Cash Askew was an absolutely loved and treasured member of the Dais Records family."

"We were in awe of her talent, her gentle kindness, and her creative momentum… her passing is an excruciating loss that we may never fully process or recover from."
