The Moonlandingz Formally Introduce Their Debut Album

It's called 'Interplanetary Class Classics'

The Moonlandingz will release debut album 'Interplanetary Class Classics' on March 24th.

The loose-knit London collective have gradually evolved into one of the most mind-expanding live experiences around, a thrilling fusion of power drill punk and brown acid psych.

Sean Lennon was recruited to shape their debut album, with The Moonlandingz decamping to New York state to lay down some feral psych-out grooves.

Guests include Randy Jones the Cowboy from The Village People, Rebecca Taylor from Slow Club, drummer Ross Orton, bassist Mairead O’Connor, The Human League's Phil Oakey, and Yoko Ono who contributes to no-holds-barred finale 'This Cities Undone'.

Adrian Falangan says: "It's a celebration of the outsider, the depressed, the sexually inept, the disenfranchised, the politically unengaged or undecided, the bullied, the lonely, those people at point break. And we really do seem to be reaching those very people who are looking for that voice in the dark, for that wonky discotheque that will relight the fire in their soul."

Of the guest appearances, Adrian adds: "Having Yoko Ono on our closing track was for me, the real honour. She's a little ball of awesomeness, the original outsider, activist, the queen of the avant-garde. There's just no one like her and the vocal she laid down for us was totally incredible. She’s 82 years young and with more fire and spirit in her little finger than someone a third her age. I'm really proud of that song."

"And Phil Oakey from the Human League sings as part of the group chorus with Lias and Rebecca and I – it’s like five generations of art school legends on one track."
