Tame Impala, Slowdive For Latitude

More names added to line up...

This week seems to be festival central, with the Clash news feed steadily gorging itself on all manner of announcements.

Latitude, though, never fails to surprise. This morning (February 5th) organisers unveiled their next wave of acts, with a few exclusives along the way.

Tame Impala are set to play the Suffolk festival, marking their sole UK festival appearance of the summer. With preliminary work on a follow up to breakthrough album 'Lonerism' already under way, their set should surely rank as a highlight with fans.

Elsewhere, reformed shoegaze legends Slowdive are set to play Latitude. The band have confirmed a Primavera slot, while their show at London's Village Underground sold out within three minutes.

Bombay Bicycle Club are set to perform at the festival, with other new announcements including First Aid Kit, Valerie June, Jungle and more.

The spoken word segment of the line up already looks intriguing, with Scouse wordsmith Roger McGough, Scroobius Pip, Polar Bear and Mark Grist.

Tickets are on sale now.

Latitude runs between July 17th – 20th.
