Liars aren't a band who wish to be pigeonholed.
The band's extravagant artistic leaps, their ability to move past any boundary in their way, makes each album an extremely special experience.
Album No. 7 'Mess' finds Liars experimenting with brutalist synth pop, near industrial tones wrapped around delicately arranged pop songs.
Out on March 24th, Clash argued that the album represents "another ambitious statement from a band that has made a habit of reinventing themselves at every stage".
