Premiere: The White Raven – ‘Rose’

Swedish rock outfit mark their return...

The White Raven like to take their time over things.

The Swedish band's debut album has been under way since 2014, with sessions seeming to bring out the quartet's perfectionist streak.

After lengthy periods of work, though, it's almost here: The White Raven will release new album 'Through Your Hands' this Autumn.

Before then, Clash is able to unveil new cut 'Rose'. It's a soaring piece of rock music, lyrically adept and rather mature – clearly, all that time in the studio wasn't wasted.

Here's an introductory note from the band:

'Rose' is about hopeless and unrequited love. About feeling alone with your emotions and burying the memories of someone, but still keeping them in your heart. It’s about living with the hopelessness and still keeping hope. We started working on the music for 'Rose' quite a while ago. I remember we were heading to PUK Studios in Denmark, going to record 'Hold On Light Up'.

We were all packed and I was standing by myself in the rehearsal room, just picking on the guitar. And I started playing some chords in a certain way that I really liked. I recorded it on my phone, so I wouldn’t forget, then I finished my coffee and we headed towards the Danish country side.

Check it out now.
