Manchester group with a trans-Atlantic sound...
The Travelling Band

Manchester five-piece The Travelling Band have a broad, trans-Atlantic sound.

Honeyed harmonies fused with a slight guitar crunch, the band are reminiscent of early Band Of Horses or even My Morning Jacket's ventures into the deep South.

New album 'Sails' will be released on August 25th, and it's a diverse, creative document, with The Travelling Band adding a gilded edge to their songwriting.

Clash is able to premiere 'Into The Water', and it's a plea for resolution amid a relationship crisis. Jo Dudderidge explains:

“I wrote it at a time when I was in a long distance, open relationship with a lover who was living in New York while I was in England. It’s a desperate love letter. I was willing to do anything to make it work.”

Americana yet with some Mancunian grit, 'Into The Water' is online now.
