Some bands threaten to break on through to the other side, but few actually manage.
However Dublin-born Berlin resident Nunutzi has a better claim than most. Being led on a pilgrimage across a sacred desert in Mexico, the musician emerged transformed by the vital yet intangible powers of the universe.
New project Tau is the result. An ever-shifting collective, the group went into the studio earlier this year – coincidentally on the day that Bowie died – to work on a new spiritual artefact that would be loosely channelled into music.
New album 'Tau Tau Tau' emerges on September 9th via Fuzz Club, billed as “songs of praise” – tri-lingual chunks of noise rock with a devotional sensibility.
Clash is able to air new cut 'Mother' and it's a mystical hymn that recalls early Brian Jonestown Massacre drone with an Eastern air.
