In the space of only a few tracks MOVIE marked themselves out as something quite special.
Suddenly, though, the trail seemed to stop. Re-naming themselves as Screaming Peaches, the band are now set to surge ahead.
New single 'Sad Kid' is a gorgeous pop hymn, a piece of bleached out disco with an anthemic chorus. Frontman Theo Spark explains:
"The songs lyrics are an attempt to console myself and make myself feel better/laugh and a gentle reminder never to take anything too seriously. I was also listening to lots of Michael Jackson so wanted to do a 'PYT' chanted chorus, hence S.A.D K.I.Ds in our chorus".
Immediately infectious, 'Sad Kid' is a wonderfully British piece of chirruping pop music with a classic 80s bent.
