RJ Thompson is proof that hard work and perseverance will pay off.
Touring and touring and touring, the songwriter got his lucky break at a random show in Hartlepool - and then he never looked back.
Building his profile, RJ Thompson continually focusses on the music, on the craft that pushes him forward.
With his new album incoming RJ Thompson has handed Clash new track 'Skimming Stones', a powerful, rousing return that is oddly soulful in its own way.
He explains: "For me, this is my favourite track on the album. Although the album is quite political in it’s lyrics, this song breaks away and talks about the end of a relationship… about it ending without either person realising that it was falling apart. I think a lot of people can relate to that feeling. Realising that you’re not the same people as you used to be, and don’t share the same path any more. Thankfully the relationship in the song is not one of my own, but something that I have witnessed from a distance recently."
