Drifting folk-hewn songwriting with an ambient feel...
H.C. Love

H.C. Love hails from Northern California, one of the most beautiful areas of the United States.

New album 'Light Breaks' is informed by her surroundings, matching pastoral landscapes to a real sense of mysticism.

Out in November, Clash is able to tease the release by unveiling drifting, almost ambient new cut 'Dreaming Place'.

Revolving around that sparse acoustic guitar line, the arrangement is simply yet hugely atmospheric.

Thematically, 'Dreaming Place' echoes the Native American concept of dream time, of exciting out-with normal time.

Perhaps recalling Joanna Newsom, or English artists such as Anne Briggs, this is a wonderful introduction to a special talent.

'Light Breaks' will be released on November 4th.
