Harry Permezel is a solitary figure.
A solo artist from Melbourne, Australia, his music occupies its own defined boundaries, utilises its own distinct iconography.
Working alone - "I go into a hyper focus that I can’t get when I’m recording with other people" - he recently completed work on a full length project.
Harry Permezel's debut album drops on November 8th via Muscle Beach Records. He comments:
“Most of the songs on my self-titled were written in March of 2016 during the first semester of my second year at university. I wanted to create something that maintained a sense of honesty throughout so I left no detail out in my writing. Once I had the songs, I got on my laptop and recorded them in my bedroom. I spent hours trying to create large and atmospheric sounds with what I had. The result is eight simple songs that I hope some will relate to.”
Clash is able to premiere new cut 'The Brakes', and it has a torn and tattered sense of grace, a charming lo-fi atmosphere that can't fail to beguile.
