Premiere: Hannah Peel – ‘All That Matters’

Northern Irish artist takes another twist...

Hannah Peel is a wandering spirit.

First reaching wider acclaim with her 'Rebox' EP – re-interpreting synth pop greats in her own way – the singer then helped form The Magnetic North, a project rooted in Britan's folk lineage.

Now the Northern Irish artist is set to take yet another twist. New album 'Awake But Always Dreaming' arrives on September 23rd, and it's a dreamy return, one soaked in electronic tones.

Wild Beasts' Hayden Thorpe makes an appearance, aiding Hannah on a cover of Paul Buchanan's oft-neglected gem 'Cars In The Garden'.

Now, though, Clash is able to unveil new single 'All That Matters'. Powered by a hushed yet intense vocal, Hannah Peel's songwriting has rarely been stronger, yet also more alusive.

Hannah Peel explains:

“I wrote this song as a bittersweet mantra for someone close to me and since then, it seems to have also become my own tune to lift me out of troubled moments. A constant reminder that no matter what life throws at you, to not forget about the ones who will always care, the ones who are standing waiting to welcome you back, the ones who will forever look after you and say simply, they love you. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters, caring and being cared for. Yet to love and not be loved is one of the saddest things of all.”
