Debut EP released 19th November and live dates announced

London’s Parakeet have announced details of their forthcoming debut EP ‘Shonen Hearts’ and a set of live shows supporting The Walkmen and DIIV.

Parakeet are a fuzzy, shoegaze collaborative project, consisting of Yuck’s Mariko Doi, The History of Apple Pie’s James Thomas and guitarist Jon Jackson, and this band seems to be being used as a conduit for harder riffs and more distortion than they usually use in their 9-5 bands.

Live dates for the upcoming support slots are listed below and the Rough Trade instore appearance coincides with the EP's release on limited edition gold cassette tape. These further 90’s vibes are available exclusively through Rough Trade either at the show or HERE.

 Parakeet live dates:

27th Birmingham HMV Institute, supporting The Walkmen
28th Glasgow O2 ABC, supporting The Walkmen

10th Hamburg Molotow, supporting DIIV
11th Berlin Bi Nuu, supporting DIIV
12th Cologne Gebäude 9, supporting DIIV
13th Kortrijk de Kreun, supporting DIIV
14th London Garage, supporting DIIV
19th London Rough Trade East, instore 7pm
