It's... happy

Nine Inch Nails premiered their new track 'Everything' on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show last night - listen to it below.

Nine Inch Nails come with a certain amount of baggage. The band are known for difficult, Industrial-tinged material which often picks apart the difficulties which plague Trent Reznor's soul.

Dealing with depression, grief and addiction, the group's back catalogue isn't known for its bristling pop moments. However with new cut 'Everything' the American band might well have produced their most straight-forwardly 'up' moment yet.

Premiered on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show, 'Everything' has shades of New Wave with Nine Inch Nails only hinting their difficult past during a bone crushing middle eight.

There are shades of New Order in that chugging bass line, while the vocal line is sheer power pop. Yep, you heard it hear first...

Nine Inch Nails will release new album 'Hesitation Marks' on September 2nd. Need more Trent Reznor in your life? Check out our extensive interview from last year.
