Jay-Z has posted new track ‘Open Letter’ which reflects on his recent troubled times.
Jay-Z is one of the best studio rappers in the game. While other MCs freeze in that environment, the Brooklyn rapper excels, with Jay-Z able to add a sense of spontaneity to the studio process.
So when faced with troubles, the rapper heads back into the studio. Recently enduring a torrid time after his trip to Cuba, Jay-Z decided that the best way to get his feelings off his chest is to get back into the studio.
‘Open Letter’ was placed on line yesterday (April 11th) and features a sideswipe at politicians. Obama, of course, gets off the hook with Jay-Z rhyming: “"Politicians never did shit for me/ Except lie to me, distort history/ They wanna give me jail time and a fine-- Fine, let me commit a real crime/ Obama said, 'Chill, you're going to get me impeached'/ You don't need this shit anyway, chill with me on the beach”.
Referencing his recent sale of shares in Brooklyn Nets, it’s about as current as can be.
