A new name but a familiar face...
Eliot Sumner

2014 seems to be a year for re-invention.

Hotly tipped indie types The Fat White Family previously traded as The Metros, while even pop phenomenon Jungle started life in Born Blonde.

Eliot Sumner may well seem familiar. The singer originally utilised the I Blame Coco moniker, producing all manner of electro delights.

Deciding that a re-think was in order, she opted to utilise her own name. Heading back to the studio, the singer began drafting an epic, ambitious, widescreen pop vision.

It could well succeed. "It’s now or never," she comments. "I’m proud of the music I’m making and it’s time to take ownership by putting my real name on it."

The first track to see the light of day in this new guise of 'Information'. Nodding towards early 80s new pop in a melodramatic grandeur, the track was recorded with produced by Duncan Mills, who has worked with The Vaccines, Spector and Crocodiles, and recorded at the Strongrooms studios in London.
