Liars speak only truths - although they're often buried in mystery, blurred by the unexpected rearing its head where predictions had everything seemingly worked out.
Across six previous long-players proper, the now-trio - Angus Andrew, Aaron Hemphill and Julian Gross - has endlessly pushed at its own boundaries. The results have sometimes puzzled, but more often than not they've also impressed: Clash's review of 2012's 'WIXIW' stating that the band's sound was like "an anxiety attack". In a good way, obviously.
Now, the band has announced details of a seventh studio album, set for release in March 2014 via Mute. As yet the collection has no title - let's hope, at least, for something one can pronounce when discussing their recent favourite albums down the boozer. Trying to say 'WIXIW' just leads to spitting frothy ale in a pal's face.
Says Andrew of the new set: "Instead of being doubtful, work on the new album has been immediate, fun, instinctal and confident. Creation for creation's sake. No rules. No mistakes."
A collection of trailers for the album have been made public. Why not watch them, since you're here.
