Last Japan conjures winter in London on new track 'B4 All That'.
The producer's new EP 'LUNA' focusses on the psycho-geography of East London, with Last Japan drawing on his experiences living in Bow, E3.
New track 'B4 All That' is online now, and it draws on London in winter, on frozen streets, empty landscapes, and the endless chill in the air.
Sub-zero electronics matched to square wave drones, the shattered percussion builds into something intense, huge, lurking metallic shards of sound.
We can hear elements of Wiley's Devil mixes in here, alongside an awareness of first wave grime, but really Last Japan is charting pathways of his own.
He comments: "A winter-inspired body of work, it's a soundtrack to misty days and cold, crisp nights with Canary Wharf looming and the Shard and London’s skyline in the distance.”
Tune in now.
'LUNA' EP will be released on March 23rd.
