Joan As Policewoman are set to return with a new single and a series of British tour dates.
Joan Wasser is perhaps best known through her association with other artists – Jeff Buckley, Antony Hegarty et al. All of which is a crying shame, as on new album ‘The Deep Field’ the songwriter has established her as a powerful voice in her own right.
Making music for almost two decades now, Joan Wasser took the moniker Joan As Policewoman for the 2006 set ‘Real Life’. Since then, the songwriter has continued to push forward with her stature blossoming with every release.
Currently on tour in Australia, Joan As Policewoman are set to return to the UK this summer. Bringing ‘The Deep Field’ to life each night, the American artist has thrown in a few pearls from her back catalogue.
Due to hit British shores this summer, Joan As Policewoman have confirmed plans for a new single. ‘Chemmie’ will be released on August 1st, with Joan Wasser describing the track as “the undeniable chemistry that soars past logic” existing between lovers.
