A whole week's worth of gigs and art

Illuminations is a series of shows and events taking place this week in London.

Kicking off tonight with How To Dress Well headlining at XOYO, the Illuminations series features some of the world's most exciting and creative contemporary acts, with performances spread across hand picked venues all over London. As well as How To Dress Well, other headline acts include Chromatics performing at Heaven, Cloud Nothings appearing alongside Mazes and Cheatahs at Village Underground, Ital playing The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington and LA's Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti will be taking to the stage at York Hall in Bethnal Green. As well as these live performances all the Illuminations shows will feature numerous mediums of visual art, with work from Savages' Fay Milton, Kevin Emre and Michael Connolly amongst others.

In anticipation of their appearance at Heaven Chromatics have released a new collection of songs via their Soundcloud page. Taken from unreleased material from their Kill For Love recording sessions, Johnny Jewell has blended the tracks together into a 35 minute mix entitled 'Running From The Sun' which is available to download for free.

Full details of the Illuminations shows, including how to purchase tickets, can be found HERE and the tracklisting and lyrics for the Chromatics mix is over on their Soundcloud Page.
