But band will continue...

alt-j have vowed to continue after Gwil Sainsbury announced his departure from the band.

alt-j's swift rise was as welcome as it was un-anticipated. After all, who would predict success for a group who nod towards UK garage and math rock whilst singing in falsetto?

Pushed into a world of near continual touring, the enormous shift in circumstances appears to have taken its toll. In a short statement yesterday (January 12th) alt-j confirmed that Gwil Sainsbury is set to leave the band.

alt-j have vowed to continue, although it is not currently clear if the band will replace Sainsbury of continue as a three piece.

The news comes just a few weeks after alt-j dropped past David Letterman's American chat show. Check out a performance of 'Fitzpleasure' below.
