Spanish event returns
Green Day

Green Day are set to headline next summer's instalment of Bilbao BBK Live.

Steadily emerging as one of continental Europe's most prominent festivals, Bilbao BBK Live enjoyed a hugely successful 2012. A fuss free, easy to navigate festival the event is rapidly becoming a secure choice for British music fans.

Looking ahead, organisers have begun to piece together 2013's line up. American punk icons Green Day are set to play a headline set, returning to European soil after enduring a troubled spell of late.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has been in rehab, battling his addictions after a much publicised rant at an American festival. Seeking medical help, the singer is now resting with Green Day planning to get back out on the road shortly.

Set to headline Bilbao BBK Live next summer, Green Day will be joined by previously announced headliners Depeche Mode. Elsewhere, Irish indie-dance outfit Two Door Cinema Club will journey to Portugal while the local scene is represented by Delorean, We are Standard and L.A..

Early bird tickets are on sale now, with the special price of £70 for a three day pass lasting until December 11th. Don't forget that two low cost airlines operate direct flights from London to Bilbao - check Easyjet (from Stansted) and Vueling (from Heathrow) for more details.

Bilbao BBK Live runs between July 11th - 13th.
