Initial line up confirmed

Eminem is set to headline V Festival, after organisers announced the first names on the bill.

Held on two sites, V Festival might be commercial but it remains one of the country's largest music events. Returning for another instalment, organisers have confirmed a number of appearances by iconic artists.

Rap megastar Eminem is set to headline the event, after emerging from a break last year. Remaining a huge draw, the hip hop icon has played some enormous shows since release new album 'Relapse'.

Headlining T In The Park last year, Eminem drew a record number of people to the mainstage. The crowd stretched far into the night, with the rapper emerging after a slight delay to a hero's welcome.

Blasting through his hits, the rapper was joined by an epic stage show. Ending with 'Lose Yourself' Eminem's performance is set to go down in folklore for fans of the enormous Balado event.

Now due to return to British shores, Eminem is set to headline V Festival. The appearance will be one of the summer's biggest events, with the rapper the pick of the acts confirmed for the bill.

Elsewhere, Plan B will perform while grime MC turned pop star Dizzee Rascal will get a bit of 'Dirtee Disco' going at V Festival.

Primal Scream are in the mood to celebrate, after their seminal album 'Screamadelica' turned 20 years old. Arranging a series of tour dates, the band are set to re-visit material from the 1991 record.

Set to appear at V Festival, Primal Scream are the perfect summer soundtrack. More acts are due to be confirmed closer to the time, with tickets for the twin site event due to go on general sale this Friday (March 4th) at 9am.

V Festival runs between August 20th - 21st.
