Bristol's vital Thekla venue is under threat due to proposed residential developments in the city.
The venue is one of the city's true landmarks, hosting all manner of historic shows over the years.
A floating music hub - it's built on a ship - Thekla even boasts its own piece of Banksy artwork on the side.
Sadly, it seems that the venue is now under threat. "Proposed residential developments" in the city mean that Thekla could close, with fans now launching a campaign to save it.
Our beloved ship is under threat from proposed residential developments across the harbour in Redcliffe. Across the UK, an estimated 35% of grassroots music venues closed down between 2007 and 2015, many due to issues like this.— Thekla Bristol (@theklabristol) November 6, 2017
Let's not let this happen to Thekla! #savethekla pic.twitter.com/gAEQhC7RMw
Here's hoping Thekla's future can be secured shortly!
