Andrea Di Giovanni’s ‘Drowning’ Is A Tale Of Endurance

A striking new alt-pop voice from Italy...

Italian artist Andrea Di Giovanni has been through it all.

Taking abuse for his sexuality, the songwriter poured his feelings into music, a tale of endurance, and moving past the shit life can throw at you.

New single 'Drowning' seems to sum up his journey, opening with the fragmentation of a relationship before diving into a tale of survival.

It's a real gem, dominated by that soaring vocal, and a wonderful, lucid lyric that pushes him further and further.

Andrea explains: "This song is about a relationship that it's coming to its end. I've taken a lot of shit, promises previously made are now broken but in my mind there's no debate, I won't be drowning any more. It's the second step, I was still hiding my emotions although I know how I really felt inside but I wanted to react, I couldn't accept the pain any more…"
