AJ Tracey has criticised the government's response to the Grenfell Tower fire.
The rapper hails from the West London area of North Kensington, and grew up in the vicinity of the tower.
Deeply affected by the devastating fire, AJ Tracey has offered his thoughts to the Guardian in a new interview.
"My house is right behind it, if you look out my window you can see the block," he said. "A lot of people I know — I knew, rest in the peace — were in that block."
The rapper comments that he has seen no government of local authority response, but insisted the reaction from the Muslin community has been "overwhelming" with people coming from all over the country to help.
In response, AJ Tracey urges people to take part in people demonstrations, stating that riots will only further "demonize" the community.
