Robert Plant, Richard Hawley For Meltdown

More additions for the Guy Garvey curated event...

The final acts have been announced for this year’s Meltdown festival.

The Guy Garvey-curated event takes place in London in June and has welcomed Robert Plant, Richard Hawley, Marika Hackman and I Am Kloot to the line-up. Also joining the extensive list of new additions are Laura Marling, Femi Kuti, The Staves, Connan Mockasin and the curator himself.

As well as musicians, the ten day event will see a day dedicated to circus style performances and interactive workshops and a family-orientated afternoon devoted to storytelling.

Speaking about the festival Garvey says: “There are so many amazing free events and performances happening during the festival and I’ve tried to make sure that everybody is catered for. I’m particularly looking forward to the Meltdown Circus Day, Snoozetime Storytime and the Evidently Spoken Word Night.”

“I cannot find the words for how excited I am about the people who have said yes. So many of the best performances are free. It makes Meltdown a very special festival and it will create the loveliest atmosphere. Drop in any time. Even if you’ve only got a lunch hour. You won’t be disappointed.”

Previous Meltdown festivals have been curated by Yoko Ono and Morrissey. Full line-up and ticket details HERE.

Meltdown takes place June 10th – 19th at the Southbank Centre, London.
