More Acts Announced For Latitude

The Suffolk festival, Latitude, have announced even more acts to their 2013 lineup who will perform between the 18th July to 21st July. The latest additions include the Brooklyn four-piece, Grizzly Bear, American musician John Grant, José González’s band Junip, Duane, and Toronto-native’s Austra.

Joining the Obelisk Arena will be Oxford folk four-piece Stornoway, lead singer of The Charlatan’s, Tim Burgess who will also be reading from his book ‘Tellin’ Tales’ in the Film & Music Arena. Added to the BBC Radio 6 Music Stage will be the legendary Richard Thompson and Hackney’s own, Rudimental.

Others announced for the festival are Nick Mulvey, Half Moon Run, Matt Corby, James Yorkston and Milo Greene who will join headliners Bloc Party, Kraftwerk and Foals.

Latitude’s star-studded Comedy lineup is expanding with the addition of Sean Lock, Russell Kane, Andrew Maxwell, Mark Thomas, Adam Buxton, Nick Helm, Roisin Canaty and Naz Osmanoglu. Also, added to the Literary Arena include Robin Ince’s infamous Book Club returning with a sexy twist featuring Kevin Eldon and Jo Neary. Keith Allen, David Schneider, Jonny & The Baptists, Pappy’s and Flange Krammer will also make appearances.

In the Cabaret Arena, Latitude welcomes the all-male sharp shootin’ cabaret of burlesque, BRIEFS Boys, and the arena will also play host to the hilarious Showstoppers The Musical. The intrepid drag fabulist Dickie Beau will perform his new show ‘The Real Paige Turner’ and performance artist, Sylvia Rimat will explore the Neuroscience theme along with self-titled theatre maker, Alice Malseed.

Once the sun goes down, goers can venture into The Woods to discover a whole host of DJs and electronic acts where Dermot O’Leary can be found playing his favourite Indie Disco hits, Goldierocks will be taking to the decks and American presenter Jess Indeedy invites you to join her famous Musical Bingo.

Latitude runs between July 18th – 21st.
