Frightened Rabbit are set to headline this year's instalment of Electric Fields.

The Scottish event takes place in the shadow of 17th century Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway, and will feature hundreds of performers.

Frightened Rabbit have been announced as the first headliners, with the Scottish band able to draw on the full force of their acclaimed catalogue.

The Jesus And Mary Chain will also perform, while much-loved duo Arab Strap will visit Drumlanrig Castle.

Elsewhere, Tim Burgess will bring his Tim Peaks Diner to the festival, while Edinburgh venue Sneaky Pete's will curate a stage of electronica.

Electric Fields runs between September 1st and 2nd.
