Counterfeit.
Jamie Campbell Bower advises Clash to pack some sriracha...

Counterfeit. were born on the road.

Five musicians with different backgrounds and different personalities, it took an extended tour across Europe to truly help them bond.

Since then, things have exploded. The band's debut album is out now, a crisp introduction that refuses to pull its punches.

Launching the show with an intimate London show, Counterfeit. played to just under 100 fans at a tiny sweat-pit in Shoreditch.

Set to hurl themselves into a full UK tour, Counterfeit. frontman Jamie Campbell Bower took time out to offer touring tip in Good Trip, Bad Trip.

Best trip...
Probably our first tour last January that coincided with the birth of the band. It was a pretty special feeling to get out on the road and play some shows across Europe.

Worst trip...
There's been no real bad trips yet. There was this one time when the van broke down on the way to Amsterdam to play a show. We ended up sat in a service station for 6 hours while our Tour manager went off in one direction and our tech went off in another with our busted van. In the end we made it to the show five minutes before we were supposed to play so went straight on stage and smashed it.

Our favourite foreign venue...
Vienna Arena (Arena Wien) is great. It used to be an old slaughter-house and you can crash there as well. Super dark. It has three different venues in this commune-esque complex. Run by great people and the sound in there is dope.

We're surprisingly popular in...
Anywhere really, we still find it mad that we can go out and play shows and that people will come! That being said Italy is stand-out crazy for us. Shout to to Italy.

Best or worst exotic foodstuff...
Bugles are a solid favourite amongst us all (although not exactly exotic), so nice in fact we'll let you in on a top secret food preparation method. Step one, invert Bugle. Step two, squeeze Sriracha inside. Step three, consume.

Most interesting individual you've met on the road...
We met a fan called Daniel on our first run of shows who said he'd never been to any shows before and he'd been dragged down by his sister, he'd also never heard our music.... He ended up in the pit and throwing down the entire time and now we see him at most of our German shows. It's great to see dedication like that and we always call him out to get things moving when he's at a show. Daniel you're a legend!

Worst on tour injury, infection or accident...
Manchester stage dive going bad and busting my shoulder. Throwing up any-time before a show is never fun either. This tends to happen towards the latter stages of a tour when my body has just had enough and I keep pushing it. I've been dropped, kicked and grabbed more times than I care to mention but no pain no gain right?

My essential travel item...
Sriracha, the fundamental culinary additive.

My essential travel tip...
Bring thermals.
